Job Description

CEOC International is a not-for-profit organisation that represents 29 independent inspection and certification organisations in 22 countries.

CEOC International, the international Confederation of Inspection and Certification Organisations, are recruiting an

Intern (m/f)

to support their activities aimed at strengthening co-ordination and exchange among its members. The successful applicant will work closely with the Secretary General and the International Affairs Manager, as well as the various experts within the member organisations to promote and support the work programme of the confederation. The internship position will run for six months and a monthly allowance will be provided. Starting date: January / February 2016 (negotiable).


  • Coordinate and support the communication work of CEOC (web site, newsletter etc.);
  • Support the work of the CEOC Committees;
  • Follow-up and report on EU legislative proposals;
  • Undertake research and compile information on issues of interest for the confederation;
  • Handle requests;
  • Attend and report on meetings and seminars as appropriate;
  • Provide administrative support (e.g update of the database).


  • Fluency required in English (oral and written) and one other European language;
  • Masters degree in the field of International Relations, Politics, Law, Business, or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to the fast-paced workplace;
  • Ability to coordinate and execute complex logistical tasks;
  • Knowledge of the EU institutions and EU decision-making processes
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to conduct research independently;
  • Ability to coordinate and execute complex logistical tasks;
  • Demonstrated interest in inspection and certification issues; and
  • Positive attitude, flexible, enthusiastic, energetic, motivated, team-player.


  • Experience of working in an international confederation based in the EU capital;
  • Opportunity to learn about CEOC members’ engagement at EU and international levels in a highly diverse business (ranging from toys to buildings, cars and power plants);
  • Work in a small and dynamic, international team with exposure to a broad range of European and international issues.
