As Facebook has become part of the daily lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world, policy makers in many countries naturally wish to talk to us, and we wish to talk to them. The Policy team manages these conversations – sharing information about the company’s products and activities, responding to queries from politicians and regulators, and providing input into the development of regulation of the Internet sector.
We are looking for a Policy Programs manager to be part our Brussels-based EU Affairs team. The function will focus on building partnerships that demonstrate the value of Facebook’s platform to advance economic growth and social good.

We are looking for candidates who can build partnerships with strategic constituents and deliver high-impact programs in Brussels and beyond. You should have a clear understanding of the policy challenges Facebook faces and ambitious and creative ideas about how to address them. You must have the ability to rally colleagues from across the company to scale, run & measure programs and investments. You should be highly organized and impact orientated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

This position is a temporary contract and based at our Brussels Office.


  • Work with political bodies, policymakers and non-governmental organizations on technology policy issues
  • Build & manage meaningful partnerships with key organizations across the region
  • Collaborate and ensure consistency in approach to Facebook’s policy issues across the region
  • Develop and execute a strategic approach to achieve company goals in public policy as they relate to the EU
  • Build coalitions with other organizations to advance policy goals of Facebook
  • Create innovative programs for outreach to policy makers on the opportunities offered by Facebook

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working with the EU political systems and institutions as well as policy, politics and communications
  • Experience with analytical and creative approach to policy issues, as well as cross functional team player
  • Ability to drive and manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively
  • Interest in technology and related policy issues
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluent English essential – additional languages is a distinct advantage (in particular: French, German and Spanish)
  • A passionate belief in the social benefits of the Internet and Facebook in particular Excellent communication skills for both small meetings and large events
  • A flexible mindset that thrives in a fast-moving environment with a strong do-it-yourself culture
  • An ability to translate between the specialist languages of technology and politics
