The Club of Rome International Secretariat is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated

Senior Communications Manager (m/f/d)

full-time | 40h/week

Key responsibilities:

  • Draft press releases and other outreach materials such as brochures, conference materials, presentations and annual reports
  • Development of communications strategies
  • Create and execute communications and other campaigns
  • Manage the Club of Rome website and social media channels
  • Draft policy briefings, funding proposals, conference materials, presentations, annual reports, official correspondence, educational materials and other products as required, in collaboration with the Program Manager
  • Identify important initiatives and events in which the Club of Rome should be involved as well as potential partnerships with other organisations
  • Support the organisation of workshops, roundtable discussions, conferences and other events
  • Other tasks as required, including supporting the Co-Presidents and CoR Team in undertaking her/his work on behalf of the Club

Your profile

  • 5-10 years’ experience in communication, of which experience within the field of sustainability is highly desirable.
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Communications, International Affairs, Political Science, Economics, Environmental Sciences or similar
  • Very strong written and spoken English (C2); knowledge of another European language is a plus
  • Knowledge of and belief in guiding vision and objectives of The Club of Rome
  • Profound interest in global issues of relevance to the Club of Rome
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Video/ photo editing skills is desirable
  • Network of journalists and media contacts is a plus

Employment conditions

  • This is a full-time (40h/week) position under Swiss law
  • We offer a friendly, open-minded, and creative working atmosphere within a small team working in different locations
  • The position involves remote working with frequent travel to the Club’s HQ in Winterthur, Switzerland or the satellite office in Brussels, Belgium
